What we do
From the first idea to the last bead of silicone.
Every bathroom we fit is designed around the room and the people using it, then built by a small team who care how it turns out.

Complete bathrooms
Bathroom installation is what we do. We plan the room with you, build it, tile it, light it and fit every last fixture, so you deal with one team from the first visit to the final polish.
En-suites
Compact en-suites finished with the same precision as a full family bathroom: neat tiling lines, clean mitres and fittings set exactly where they should be.
Downstairs cloakrooms
Small rooms that make a big impression. A downstairs toilet is often the first room a guest sees, so we treat it like a showpiece.
Wet rooms
Open showering spaces and walk-in wet rooms, tiled and finished with the same care as every room we build.
Tiling and feature walls
Large-format porcelain, natural stone and split-face feature tiles. We have even tiled media walls outside the bathroom for customers who wanted the same finish elsewhere.
Furniture and lighting
Wall-hung and fluted vanity units, mirrors and lighting. We build and install bathroom furniture and share ideas on the lighting so the room looks as good at night as it does by day.
Small and awkward rooms
Older houses are rarely square. A small bathroom in a 1930s house with walls and floors nearly 3 inches out is no problem for us.
Plumbing and heating
Plumbing and heating work beyond the bathroom, from sorting the heating in a new flat to the pipework behind a new layout, with a quick, helpful response.

The details
Light is part of the build, not an afterthought.
The difference between a nice bathroom and one you love walking into is usually in the finish. These are the touches we plan in from day one.
Warm, built-in lighting
LED strips under vanities, along shelves and around ceilings, planned in from the start rather than added at the end.
Mitred edges
Tile edges mitred and meeting cleanly, so corners, niches and boxing look carved rather than trimmed.
Brushed brass finishes
Taps, shower sets and flush plates in brushed brass, matched across the whole room.
Wall-hung everything
Wall-hung pans on concealed frames and floating vanity units keep the floor clear and the room feeling bigger.
Natural stone
We have installed natural Italian marble and big 120x120 porcelain slabs that need real care to set flat.

Mark Doveaston and team MD.
MD Plumbing & Bespoke Bathrooms is Mark Doveaston's business, based in Lowton. You deal with Mark directly, from the first conversation about layout and lighting to the finished room, alongside the rest of team MD.
Our customers come back. One family has now had three bathrooms fitted by us, and by the third, Mark had become more of a family friend than a fitter.
In 2025 Mark received a Special Recognition Award at the Wigan Business Awards, and MD was a finalist for Trade Business of the Year.
